The tithe means 10% of your first fruits. In the Bible God challenges us to tithe 10% of all we make, back to him through the local church.
We tithe not because God needs our money. It is because He knows that when you get a truthful handle on money, money will not be in control of you. And then and only then you will find yourself in a place of prosperity, blessings and abundance.

Offering
An offering is any gift above your tithe. God will use your tithes and offerings to advance His kingdom.
Money represents who we are and what we do and what we do with our money tells others who we are and what we do. When we give above our tithe, we acknowledge the fact that God is in control of our lives.
10; Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!
